Caged Bird

Scope

Create a single color spot illustration for a poem from a pool of choices. The illustration can not take up more than a quarter of the page and only one color may be used.

Process

The sketching and development of a illustration that fits the theme of the poem and provide fitting imagery. After 20 sketches and review landing on a illustration that was liked it was further developed scanning it and digitally redrawing and finalizing the image and the layout.

Outcome

Development of illustration skills and page layout.
